Debbie Boyd began singing in Aberdeen, performing original material with a funk/soul/jazz band before forming a melodic rock group, again playing original material, with whom she sang for a number of years.
She then moved to London to train professionally and graduated with distinction from Guildford School of Acting, winning the musical theatre prize and taking leading roles in both graduation musicals.
Upon graduation, Debbie was immediately signed by a well known and respected personal manager, and enjoyed a few years of diverse theatre, TV and film projects including playing ‘Shania Twain’ and ‘LeAnn Rimes’ in the UK & Ireland theatre tours of “Legends of Country” and taking one of the leading roles in the 3rd UK & Jersey tour of "What A Feeling!" - the 80s Rock and Pop show, where she starred alongside Limahl (Kajagoogoo) and Gwen Dickey (Rose Royce).
